Dr. Marzia Traverso is an environmental engineer, Ph.D. of environmental applied physics and expert of life cycle assessment, social life cycle assessment and life cycle sustainability assessment as methodologies as well for their implementations. Her international experience includes projects such as The Roundtable of Product Social Metrics, Aluminum Stewardship Initiative, Sustainable Manufacturing – Shaping Global Value Creation, Projects with UNEP/SETAC LCI, MedClima (Life Program). She is self-motivated, she has the ability to analyze problems, profound knowledge in environmental engineering and Life Cycle Management, keen to do research, to implement projects and developments on sustainable issues. She has powerful communication skill developed by participation to international working groups, conferences, and workshop. She has a fabulous ability to work as a leader or supervised and as part of a flexible team testified by numerous projects and thesis where she was involved and mentioned. As an expert of sustainability assessment, with good theoretical and practical competence in the assessment of the building and automotive products, her good international visibility is testified through a wide variety of communication activities (articles and conferences). She speaks Italian (native) English (fluent) and German (fluent). Reviewer of several international journals, such as International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment, Journal of Industrial Ecology, Sustainability and so on.
